My photography began in 1992 with a 35mm Olympus Stylus Mju Series camera. It was a compact point & shoot with auto-focus, that I would carry everywhere taking photos of anything that caught my eye.
I lost interest with it after a while until gaining employment where part of my job included taking photos using a Sony DSC-F505 digital camera, and uploading the images to a website. I liked the ease of the whole process from taking the shot to seeing the finished article within minutes.
In 2004 I decided to buy my own digital SLR a Nikon D2H with a couple of lenses, and a photographer was born!
I have experimented with all kinds of photography, and am still learning. I used to wonder why so many photographers shot wild birds, and have realized that not only do they make wonderful photos, but dramatically improve ones skills.
The bird thing has become a fascination for me over the last couple of years, and I spend hours trying to get the best possible shots. |
